Pub, Grub, and Good Deeds

This past Giving Tuesday, the air was buzzing with generosity. 

From the moment we opened our doors on October 7th to the last call, the pub was filled with patrons eager to enjoy a meal and contribute to the cause. It was a day where every pint of beer and every plate of fish & chips directly helped local veterans. This wasn’t just a fundraiser; it was a community celebration of service and gratitude. 

We brought the community together in an incredible display of support, the Pig & Whistle will be donating $3,500, to the American Legion Indian River Post 22, located in Cocoa. 

The fundraiser was a timely effort to support Post 22’s building fund. The organization is a vital hub for veterans and their families in the community, and the funds raised will go towards much-needed repairs to its century-old building, which is currently facing a termite problem. 

This event was a perfect example of how small businesses can have a big impact. By simply doing what we do every day, the Pig & Whistle provided a simple way for everyone to participate in Giving Tuesday. This initiative shows how the spirit of giving can bring people together and build a stronger, more supportive community for everyone, especially those who have served our country. 

American Legion Post 22 offered its heartfelt thanks to the Pig & Whistle for their generous support. It’s a reminder that when local businesses and community organizations come together, amazing things can happen.

August’s Giving Tuesday at The Pig & Whistle was another incredible night of community, camaraderie, and giving back. All food and beverage sales from the evening went directly to support Cocoa Beach Junior/Senior High School Athletics, a program that continues to inspire pride across the Space Coast. They are heading up a new Athletics Training Program which needed a new golf cart and we’re happy to have been able to support that goal.

Thanks to our guests who came out to eat, drink, and support the cause, we were able to help fund essential needs for the school’s athletic program—covering costs such as equipment, uniforms, and travel for the students who represent Cocoa Beach with spirit and determination.

The energy in the pub was fantastic, with friends and neighbors gathering to raise a pint for the Minutemen. It was proof once again that when our community comes together, amazing things can happen.

We’re grateful to everyone who joined us and helped make this month’s Giving Tuesday a success. Here’s to good food, great company, and keeping local athletics strong.

At The Pig & Whistle, giving back is always on tap. Each month, we’re proud to dedicate the first Tuesday’s food and beverage sales to a local organization that’s making a difference right here in our community.

For July 2025, we raised our glasses to the Cocoa Beach Rotary Club! This dedicated group has been serving our town for decades, and one of their most impactful programs is their scholarship fund—helping local students pursue higher education and brighter futures.

On Tuesday, July 1st, 2025, every meal, every pint, and every toast went to help fund scholarships that directly benefit Cocoa Beach students. It’s a chance to enjoy your favorites at The Pig & Whistle while supporting the next generation of leaders, dreamers, and doers.

Thank you for making this Giving Tuesday one to remember. With your support, we have helped open doors for local students and keep the tradition of community alive and strong.

At The Pig & Whistle, community means everything. That’s why the first Tuesday of every month, we dedicate all food and beverage sales to support a local organization making a difference on the Space Coast.

This June, we were proud to raise a pint for Brevard Red Eye Rugby! A longtime staple of our community, Red Eye Rugby has brought passion, grit, and winning seasons to the Space Coast. From the pitch to the pub, their team spirit is unmatched, and we’re excited to help fuel their success.

Every pound of fish and chips, every frothy pint, and every hearty meal enjoyed on Tuesday, June 3rd, 2025, went directly toward supporting Red Eye Rugby’s upcoming season—helping cover the costs of jerseys, travel, and more.

So thanks for gathering your mates and bringing your appetite in cheering on a team that continues to make Cocoa Beach proud.

Our second year in a row dedicating a Giving Tuesday to Amputee Blade Runners (ABR) of Florida!! We had a great turnout and really enjoyed raising funds with the good folks from ABR. Amputee Blade Runners is an amazing program that helps provide athletes with athletic prosthetic legs to help chase their athletic dreams and goals. Thanks so much for all of the support. What a blast raising money for the Space Coast Little League. The community showed up for these little athletes with big hearts and bigger smiles–Babe Ruth even made an appearance! We had a great turn out and were able to donate $3,500 to help SCLL rebuild their batting cages. Swing for the fences, kids! Thanks everyone for supporting another Giving Tuesday event at the Pig.

Thank you to all who came out to support our Giving Tuesday benefiting the wonderful NugeFund! NugeFund is a nonprofit that we can truly get behind as their goal is to help musicians and those restaurant industry workers when they are down and out. But not only that–they do it in a fun creative way with NugeFest! You can learn more about the nonprofit at NugeFund.org. We hope to support them again next year!

Brevard Random Acts of Kindness is a 501c3 dedicated to bringing smiles across Brevard County, FL. From donating custom bicycles to special needs children to supporting local youth sports to covering unexpected medical bills, you never know what BRAKs will have their hands in next. However, rest assured the people in need will get 100% of any money raised.

We love when surfing intersects with a good cause!! Thanks to all who came out to support the Florida Surf Museum and annual Surfing Santas event.

At the Pig & Whistle we could not be more proud to support the National Kidney Foundation of Florida. What an incredible group of people on the mission to help incredible people fund their kidney disease treatment. We love that they find unique ways to fundraise including their annual Surf Fest.

The children are our future! We love making a difference in Cocoa Beach school programs & sports.

If you’ve heard about Elk’s Lodge before then you’ve likely heard about something positive they’ve done in your community. The Cocoa Beach chapter is proud to help facilitate scholarships, grants, and all sorts of positive impact programs. And we are proud to help support this club.

The Kiwanis Foundation is focused on helping children who need assistance with Health and nutrition, education and literacy, and youth leadership development. We are happy to help support this organization reach goals of reaching children in need.

When we heard Brevard Humane Society was in need of funds to construct a new building, we couldn’t wait to lend a paw.
We hope to work with the Brevard Humane Society more in the future as we love our four-legged friends.

In August 2023, James Sexton’s dog was the victim of a hit and run and needed significant surgical intervention. We gladly offered up our Giving Tuesday funds to help bring the pup back to good health.

Amputee Blade Runners provides running prosthetic legs to help athletes find or regain their athleticism. We had a blast supporting this organization and wonderful athletes. With our donation of $3,500 we were able to provide a running leg to someone in need.

Family Promise of Brevard is one of those non profits that we can’t support enough as they aim to help prevent homelessness as well as provide shelter & stability to Brevard families in need.

At the Pig & Whistle we are all about supporting our local community and the Cocoa Beach Rotary does just that. From networking resources to Drown Zero to the boat parade, we are proud to support this club!

As an English pub we love to support all things rugby!! Proud to support this club and help support their 2024 rugby season.

The Nuge Fund is a non-profit in Brevard County whose mission is to provide assistance to musicians and service industry personnel in the midst of crisis. Through hosting a music festival with raffles and prizes, The Nuge Fund is able to provide relief to those locals in need. Proud to support The Nuge!!!!

The Pig & Whistle is always happy to support local sports organizations. We took this opportunity to help improve and upgrade the softball equipment for the Cocoa Beach Minutemen’s 2024 season.

Brevard Random Acts of Kindness (BRAK) is one of those organizations that we just can’t support enough. Their goal as a 501c3 is to cut out middlemen in the local non profit world and get money directly to those in need. BRAK has had made a difference in so many incredible causes including helping supply shoes to the homeless workforce and getting people back on their feet after hardship.

We love supporting the Surf Fest in Cocoa Beach. The National Kidney Foundation of FL does great work supporting kidney disease and dialysis patients. Happy to support such a great cause in such a fun fashion.

If you haven’t experienced hundreds of Santas on the beach in Decemebr then you’re missing out!!! It’s an annual event full of wholesome fun that aims to help raise money for local charities. We are a proud supporter!

This giving Tuesday our contribution went to helping Maui rebuild after the fires.
